Sleep Reward Charts

So I have three kids under six in my home, so sleep can be hard to come by, if you know what I mean. We tried everything to get a good routine, but the kids needed something visual. Insert the Good Night, Sleep Tight Reward Chart. I can't believe how well it works! It has nine categories that may or may not apply to all families, but for us it was good. We don't actually read before bed, but we do a prayer, so we just used that space for that and the kids knew where their sticker was supposed to go so it worked out well. My two older kids (4, 5.5) are now going to bed for me a lot easier and stay in bed better. My son still comes into our room occasionally, but not as much as he had been and our daughter stays in bed until it's time to get up better instead of getting up and playing instead.

They love being able to place stickers on the chart and we have a special treat on weekends if they do well all five days on the chart. Many have said they wish it were a 7 day week, but we often have a different routine on weekends so it works well for our family. Even just a six day chart would be great. ("late night" Saturdays don't have to go on there ;) ) The pictures aren't "high quality" so to speak, but they are colorful and get the message across, so for me it's not a huge deal and the kids seem to like them. I like that the stars are used for the night time routine and then smileys are given for all the night accomplishments they make such as staying in bed all night or not calling out etc. While the stickers are reusable a couple of times, they aren't completely reusable. But as far as stickers go, the fact they can be reused even a couple of times is better than only being able to use them once and then done. (they also offer replacement stickers-so it's not a huge deal (or get some at the dollar store!)) Overall this was a great product and has really helped us get more sleep at night.
