Sportng Smiles Impressions Kit

Recently I received the first step of the two step whitening system from Sporting Smiles (www.sportingsmiles.com) and I am extremely excited to tell you all about it. I believe it can revolutionize how we look at home teeth whitening as we know it.

What would you do if you could whiten your teeth for $60 and that includes everything you need to whiten your teeth AND have it customized to be an exact fit for your own teeth? No doctor visits, no hassle, easy to use, and fast acting? Well, I'm about to tell you how you can have all those things! Today I am going to share step one to this awesome whitening system from Sporting Smiles.

 IMG_2336.JPGedit

It is a two step teeth whitening system. I have not received the second step yet, but am waiting with anticipation! The first step to the system involves getting a personal teeth impression. They make the whitening trays to fit your teeth maximizing the whiting affects.

What comes in the Kit?

Set of impression material (Part A & B)
Adjustable impression tray (Fits all sizes)
Return bag
Instructions pamphlet
Return form
Prepaid postage return label

It is very easy to use and doesn't take long at all.  I will list the steps below then tell you how I felt when doing it. Later after I receive the whitening trays I will post before and after pictures and also show you how easy it is to use them as well.

Thanks for reading, and have a blessed day!
Sarah

Steps of Use:

1. Wash your hands and brush your teeth

2. Adjust the tray to fit in your mouth. It can adjust in height, length, and the tray also adjusts in and out to comfortably fit your teeth.

 3. Mix Compounds A & B (they are putty) until they are all one color.

4. Roll the Putty into a 4-5 inch tube and immediately place in the tray.

5. In one swift/smooth motion, place the tray in your mouth and press firmly onto your teeth.
*Tip: Press excess putty onto the gums so they can have that impression as well.

6. Wait about 4 minutes for the putty to harden. (it should be firm to the touch)

7. In one smooth motion remove the tray by either pulling firmly down or up (depending on which set of teeth you are getting an impression of)

That's it! You're all done!  Once you have your impression, rinse it off (in the tray-DO NOT REMOVE!!) and place it in the return bag. Fill out the form and send it back using the return postage label they send with the impressions kit.

What I thought:
I thought it was a fairly easy process. The tray was still a little uncomfortable even after it was adjusted, but it was nothing too bad. It was a fairly quick process and really seemed to get a good tooth impression. The only set back was during the four minute wait it was hard/impossible to swallow, so spit sort of just built up at the back of my mouth. (yep-kinda gross)

I really liked that they sent the impressions kit in the perfect sized box and with a return label to use so I wasn't left wondering what I should send it back in/how I would pay for shipping etc. I simply put the trays/impressions back in the box they sent them in and mailed them out in that. It couldn't be an any easier process.

I am very curious to see how the whitening trays work-I feel as though because they are customized to my teeth they will really optimize the whitening solution and really do a great job of whitening my teeth. We will find out soon enough! It takes two weeks after they receive your impressions for them to send the trays back to you ready to be used.
So far, that is all I have to report, but as soon as I get the trays and am able to try them out I will definitely be telling you all about it!  Until then, here is a little extra information about Sporting Smiles, and a quick video explaining and demonstrating the steps.

About Sporting Smiles:
SportingSmiles is on online dental lab that makes dentist quality products. All of their products are made using an exact impression of your teeth using their patented self impression system. The process works by them sending an initial impression system with a return label. Customers  then take the impression and return the kit to them. They will then make the product. In this case custom teeth whitening trays. The whitening trays will include a storage case, 2 syringes of whitening gel, instructions, and a teeth shade guide.

SportingSmiles was developed with the primary goal of helping individuals protect their smiles, by helping alAbout Us Sporting Smilesleviate joint pain, and preventing injury. In the past they have seen many people who were unable to afford quality dental products due to the high cost. These were previously available only from traditional sources. They wanted to develop a process that created custom dental products that would be available at a more reasonable price, while still maintaining lab quality. Their self- impression kit allows for your new or replacement dental guard to be created directly at our dental facilities, therefore bypassing additional fees that have been associated with custom guards in the past.

They have our own in house full time lab technician with 15+ years experience who is under the direct supervision of a dentist with 30+years experience. This is done to assure you are getting the best quality available.
