So I just read Hugo the Happy Starfish-Good Friends to my kids tonight. Although parts were a little weird to me, (a magic trumpet) my kids absolutely loved it! The kids really enjoyed the pictures and the story line. It was a refreshing story about acceptance and tolerance and how everyone is different and special in their own way. It teaches kids that you shouldn't judge someone by their looks, but get to know them and befriend everyone we meet. I think if we were to take a little closer look at it, it would also be touching on bullying and how making assumptions based on looks and beliefs can also lead to mean behavior opposed to kind deeds and friendship. I highly recommend this book to parents of small children, we can't ever start too early when teaching tolerance, acceptance, and kind behavior. Check out Amazon.com and pick up this great e-book today!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
